About Radojunkie

Our Challenge

Consistent cuts to youth services and the closure of youth clubs have left many young people marginalised and overlooked. Children and young people in low-income, underserved communities face significant social inequalities, making them the ones who stand to gain the most from the transformative power of martial arts.

Martial arts offers a holistic approach to personal development, fostering physical, mental, and emotional resilience through self-defence. It builds self-confidence, discipline, and focus, equipping young people with the tools to navigate life’s challenges. Training together promotes unity and teamwork, creating a sense of belonging and purpose that helps young people develop a positive identity and strengthens connections within the community.By supporting the growth and development of young people, martial arts empowers them to become the next generation of leaders in our communities.

We are rebuilding communities through martial arts, helping people rediscover confidence and unity, and empowering young people and adults alike.

Vision

Our vision is to see a more equal society where everyone has access to learning martial arts irrespective of their origins or circumstances.

We strongly believe that learning self-defence is a fundamental right that should be accessible to everyone.

It is crucial for individuals to acquire these skills, as it not only enhances their physical abilities but also instils confidence and self-assurance.

Mission

We're on a mission to extend the reach of Muay Thai to as many individuals as possible, one community and one class at a time.

We have a firm belief that Muay Thai possesses the ability to unite people in a constructive manner.

Join us on our journey to promote Muay Thai and build a welcoming and inclusive community that embraces diversity and fosters growth for all.

Objectives

To act as a resource for communities providing martial arts services and assistance and organising programmes of physical, educational and other activities as a means of:

(a) advancing in life and helping people by developing their skills, capacities and capabilities to enable them to participate in society as independent, mature and responsible individuals;

(b) advancing self-awareness through self-defence;

(c) rekindling trust and unity within communities

Our Routes

Thai boxing classes for young people held in local community spaces, designed to support the community. Young people not only learn martial arts and improve their physical health, but enhance their mental well-being and form meaningful connections with others. Through these experiences, they can develop healthier habits and reach their full potential. Read More.

Our women-only classes provide a safe and supportive space for women to learn martial arts, improve fitness, and boost confidence. These sessions focus on creating a comfortable environment where women can train together, build strength, and connect with others, all while feeling empowered and secure. Read More.

Each term, students will learn a mixture of individual techniques and a variety of self-defence skills. Alongside the physical training, each student will also achieve valuable life skills. These include a positive attitude, confidence, kindness, responsibility, focus, anti-bullying and resolving conflict. Read More.

Our classes go beyond fitness, offering social events and pop up workshops in green spaces - helping to  strengthen community bonds. These gatherings create opportunities for people to connect and foster lasting friendships, building a sense of belonging both in and out of the training space. Read More.
